Salazar Fine Tuning supports Nine Inch Nails Tour

Salazar Fine Tuning was honored to support Trent Reznor's creative efforts by handling all Tuning and Custom Marimba Bar Replacement during the course of his 2008 Nine Inch Nails "Lights In the Sky" Tour.

Trent performed on a Yamaha 5100A Five Octave Concert Grand Marimba during the Ghosts portion of the show.

Zeltsman Marimba Festival New Music

ZMF New Music is an initiative to generate 24 intermediate level marimba solos via a Commissioning Project, and Composition Contest. All 24 pieces will be published in two volumes called Intermediate Masterworks for Marimba, and recorded on CD.  

A list of the commissioned composers along with their biographies are available here. Some of the composers contributing to this project are Paul Simon (yes...the Paul Simon), Lyle Mays, and Carla Bley.
